Welcome to Anemoia Way! Pronounced an-uh-MOY-uh.
I know — maybe not the easiest business name to say out loud. But the meaning felt too perfect to let go of. Anemoia is the feeling of nostalgia for a time or place you’ve never personally experienced. As a dreamer, I find myself living in that feeling often — drawn to the sentimental, the meaningful, and the little moments that make life feel like a memory while you’re still inside of it.
For years, I carried around business ideas that never fully felt like home. I loved creating, dreaming, and planning, but nothing sparked the kind of passion I was waiting for.
Then one day, something clicked.
My younger sister was going through a breakup, and because of distance, I couldn’t physically be there with her. So I did the next best thing I knew how to do: I put together a care package.
As I chose each piece, I realized I wasn’t just sending a gift. I was trying to say, “I see you.” I wanted her to feel held, remembered, and loved in a moment that felt bitter — and to remind her that life could still be beautiful.
That became the heart of Anemoia Way: nostalgic-feeling gifts made for the breaking, the blooming, and the beautiful in-between stages of life.
